ANAC Participates in AFCAC Dakar Meeting


The Director General of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), Mr. Hassan Boulefelfel, participated in the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) meeting held in Dakar, Senegal, from January 29 to 31, 2025. This participation followed Algeria’s election as Vice President of the Commission for the North Africa region, reflecting its commitment to advancing the civil aviation sector and strengthening regional cooperation.

On this occasion, the President of AFCAC, Mr. Florent Serge Dzota from the Republic of the Congo, emphasized in his opening speech the importance of these meetings in achieving the organization’s strategic objectives. He highlighted the need to enhance cooperation and coordination among member states. Additionally, AFCAC’s Secretary-General, Ms. Adefunke Adeyemi from Nigeria, presented the progress on implementing the strategic vision and priorities for the 2023-2025 period.

Meanwhile, participants discussed the 2025-2027 roadmap along with the 2025 action plan. During this session, Mr. Hassan Boulefelfel reaffirmed Algeria’s longstanding commitment to AFCAC, recalling that Algeria was among the first countries to ratify the Commission’s founding constitution in 1970 and has consistently upheld its commitments. He stressed that Algeria’s engagement with AFCAC is both a principled and moral obligation, rooted in the spirit of African solidarity and cooperation.

The meeting concluded with the drafting and adoption of a roadmap outlining the strategies and measures to achieve AFCAC’s objectives for the 2025-2027 period.
