As part of Algerian-Egyptian cooperation in the field of civil aviation, the Director General of the National Civil Aviation Agency, Mr. BOULFELFEL Hassan, paid a working visit from September 3 to 5, 2024, representing the Minister of Transport, Mr. Mohamed Elhabib Zahana. He participated in the Egypt 2024 International Airshow following an invitation from the Minister of Civil Aviation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Mohammad Abbas Hilmi Hashem.
Co-organized by the Ministry of Defense and Military Production, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and the Egyptian Space Agency at El-Alamein International Airport, this exhibition aimed to promote industrialization, digitalization, and globalization in the defense, space, and commercial aviation sectors in Africa and the Middle East. Inaugurated by the Egyptian President, Mr. Abdelfattah Al-Sissi, the event brought together more than 300 companies and agencies from the aviation and aerospace sectors, as well as competent authorities from around 100 countries and regions.
During this mission, the Director General of ANAC visited the stands of Egypt’s airport management company, Cairo Airport management company, Egyptair and its subsidiary Egyptair Tourism, the Egyptian company AVIT specializing in civil aviation technologies, and the Egyptian ground handling company Tiger Aviation Services (TAS). Discussions with exhibitors focused on developing experience-sharing and training opportunities for ANAC, national air carriers, EGSA, and SGSIA.
Furthermore, Mr. BOULFELFEL met with his Egyptian counterpart, Mr. Amr Sharkawy, President of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in air transport, particularly through the conclusion of new agreements in this field. Both officials agreed to maintain contact and tasked their respective teams with initiating consultations to identify areas for future coordination and cooperation.
